Red & Purple Line Modernization Comments Due the 18th

The CTA is still taking public comments on their plans to modernize the red and purple lines.  Possible outcomes could be anything from doing minimal repair work to shutting down stations to turning the north side red line stations into a subway.

Please see this Uptown Update post for full details.  This note is from one of our GWNA members who was at the meeting a few weeks back:

“When we attended the public meeting on this project, we spoke with one of the CTA employees and learned that the CTA will take to heart all the emails and comments.  In other words, the biggest responses will get the most attention.”
