School Supplies Drive

The Friends of the 46th Ward Schools asks for your help in supporting our neighborhood schools.

  1. If you have a Target card, you can designate Stockton or Stewart (or any public school) to receive 1% of your purchases. Here’s the link: https://www-secure.target.com/redcard/tcoe/home.
  2. Use your personal Facebook account, you can vote once per week for the school of your choice. Schools will receive one $25 Target gift card for every 25 votes, with a maximum payout of $10,000 per school. Search “Give with Target” on your Facebook account, search for a local school, install the app, and vote for the school. You will have to “like” Target on Facebook.
  3. Donate to Stockton’s DonorsChoose.org project to supply art materials for its pre-K – 2nd grade students. With the longer school day, kids need art education materials. Here’s the link: http://www.donorschoose.org/project/artfully-fill-the-void-show-me-the-art/765073/?verify=635984533.
  4. Donate school supplies to the 46th Ward School Supply Drive. All school supplies will be distributed by the Friends of the 46th Ward Schools to students in need at 46th ward schools; Greeley Elementary, Brennemann Elementary, Stockton Elementary, Stewart Elementary, Disney Elementary, and Uplift High School. School supplies can be dropped off at Alderman Cappleman’s office during regular business hours. If you have a large donation and need a pickup or would like to volunteer to help sort and distribute school supplies please contact us at Friends46thWardSchools@gmail.com.  Or if you can’t drop off during business hours, contact Susan Ridihalgh at susanridi@yahoo.com to drop supplies off at her place on Magnolia.
