GWNA Meeting, April 21—Come learn more about Wilson L Public Space Survey and our next Steps

All Sheridan Park Block Club members are invited to the GWNA meeting this Thursday, April 21 for the simple reason our agenda will cover topics relevant to transforming the entire Sheridan Park neighborhood.

Sara Dinges, Executive Director of Uptown United, will speak about Wilson L Public Space and remarkable collaboration that went into the WILSON UNDERLINE,, plan.  Also, next steps on continuing to the build momentum and make it a reality.

Sara will also talk briefly about retail development.  Cara Ammon with Beacon Research, will share her insights on the design the Wilson L Public Space Survey and plans for upcoming survey on Sheridan Park Commercial Corridor Development—what shops, restaurants, arts & culturally-centered venues do we want brought to Sheridan Park? We extended an invitation to The Flats folks but never heard back from them.

Check Out Underscore’s Tiny Storefront Concert Series Tomorrow


Uptown neighbor Underscore Theatre Company will hold their bimonthly “Tiny Storefront Concert Series” tomorrow, Wednesday, 04/20/2016 at The Understudy, their tiny storefront studio at 4635 N Clark. Performance starts at 8PM.

Admission is a suggested donation, there’s a live band, and Underscore features performances from Chicago’s finest singers and actors, bringing the work of Chicago’s composers to life, sometimes for the first time, and revisiting the classics. This week… Windy City Confidential: Chicago composers bring a “forbidden broadway” sensibility to parodies of musical theatre hits from Chicago and beyond!
